Part 9

As Josh ran toward the front door of the hospital, he couldn't get the image of Reva and Jeffrey out of his mind. He needed to get away from them,as far away from them as possible and fast. He was afraid that if he stayed he might do something he would regret. He ran from the hospital and out into the street, not realizing it.
"JOSH LOOK OUT." Billy yelled as he noticed the car heading straight for him.
Josh had just enough time to turn to see the car before he was off his feet and into the air, but not by the car. He landed on the ground like a ton of bricks with something on top of him. His eyes remained closed as he tried to catch his breath. He heard Billy calling his name as he felt the pressure that was on his chest ease.
"Josh you alright." said a sweet soft female voice
"Yeah yeah, I think so." He answered with his eyes still closed
"Anything hurt?"
"Yeah, my head." he said with a slight laugh
"You alright little brother?" Billy questioned as knelt beside Josh.
"Yeah." he said as he slowly opened his eyes
He was shocked to see the woman standing over him. He knew he knew that voice but he couldn't put a face to it.
"Mel, you saved him."
"I'm just glad I was in the right place at the right time."
"You know Mel, as hard as you hit me, you could be a full-back." he laughed
"Thanks but I think I'll stick to what I know." she giggled
Josh started to sit up but Mel pushed him back down.
"I don't think so. You stay right there and don't move."
"Mel, really, I'm fine, Just a little headache."
"Josh quit being such a guy and stay still."
"No, I have somewhere I need to be right now." he lied
"Where do you need to be so badly that you won't let Mel check you out." Billy said as a smile came across his face.
"None of your business Billy." he said as he started to get up again
This time Mel didn't stop him. She knew that there was no way she was going to be able to stop him.
"Fine you can go, but if you have any problems, you call me right away. Promise?"
"Yeah I promise."
Mel turned to Billy after they watch Josh walk away.
"What is going on with that brother of yours?"
"I think he got his wake up call today."
She looked at Billy with confusion.
"Don't ask Mel, just don't ask."

Jeffrey now sat in the chair next to Reva's bed, holding a bucket in his lap as she throw up.
"I'm so sorry." she said as she slowly laid back on the bed.
"Will you stop saying that. You have nothing to be sorry for. Plus, I don't mind, and if throwing up on me makes you feel better then bring it on, What the Hell right." he laughed.
She started to laugh as well but quit suddenly and grabbed her head.
"Please, don't make me laugh, my head feels like it's gonna explode."
"I'm sorry.... I'll stop I promise, but I have to admit that I love seeing that smile back on your beautiful face. But right now you need to rest so why don't you close your eyes and try to get some sleep."
"I don't want to close my eyes. If I do I'll see him...."
Jeffrey placed his finger on her lips to stop her from going any further.
"OK, it's OK, you know I would never make you do anything that you don't want to do but.........You alright?" he asked as he noticed her face getting greener.
"Yeah, just a little nauseous still but I'm fine."
"Good, so that means I can put this down then." He said as he held up the bucket.
"Oh you're so funny O'Neill. Now put that down before you make me sick."
He smiled and started to lower the bucket but Reva grabbed it out of his hand and just made it to her face before she throw up again.
"Honey I'm so sorry."
Reva throw him an evil look. One that had the power to kill.
"Hey, I said I was sorry." he smiled
"Take this before I dump it on you." she said as she handed the bucket back to him.
He took it and set it on the floor next to him, and as he looked back at her he could tell by the look on her face that she was having another contraction. Without hesitation he got off the chair and climbed in bed with her and rapped his arms around her as tight as he could. She cuddled up next to him and laid her head on his chest.
"You're doing so good sweety....that it.....just breath."
Tears rolled down her checks, not because of the pain, but because of the fear that each contraction brought with it. The fear that no matter how much everyone was doing, there was no guarantee that they could save their baby.
Without a word from Reva, Jeffrey knew exactly what she was thinking because he was thinking the same thing, but he knew he needed to be strong for her even when his own heart was breaking. She and the baby were all that mattered and without them he didn't know where he'd be. Reva and their daughter had change him in to many ways to count. He was a much better man now and he didn't care what the cost to him was he would try everything he could to make sure Reva and the baby were gonna be alright. And first things first, he needed to get her to sleep, no matter how much she didn't want to he had to try and the one thing that would get her to sleep when nothing else would was his singing.
He let his mind carry him away for a moment to a few weeks ago when she she was so upset about none of her kids being around and how she thought that it was because she wasn't there for them enough when they were little. Now she knew deep down that that wasn't true but a pregnant Reva Shayne let her hormones get the best of her most of the time. Not that it was a bad thing but when it came to these terrible fears of hers that were usually hidden somewhere that she wouldn't even let him go, it usually ended up with her being inconsolable accept by him singing. The night played in his mind. It was a Thursday night and he had worked late so he could have and 3 day weekend with the family. He had arranged for all the kids to come home. Ava and her new boyfriend Matt. Jonathan, Sarah and Jonathan's wife Maddie. Marah and her fiancee Colin (Yes Reva's Colin). Dylan and Harley who were now back together. And Shayne. It was going to be the best weekend that he could have ever given her but it turned into the worst. Each and everyone of the kids had canceled on the same day all for different reasons of course but it was all the same, they weren't coming. And Reva being as strong as she could be, told the kids that she understood at that she would see them all at Thanksgiving but it shattered her heart into a million piece. When he had finally gotten home that night she was sitting outside under the huge oak tree out front, sobbing. No matter what he did that night nothing seemed to help until he started singing to her. He had sang to her for over an hour before she had finally fell asleep on his lap. A smile came to his face as he remembered carrying her up to bed and she never moved a muscle.
Finally coming back to the present he placed his head on top of hers.
"Have I told you today how much I love you?"
"Only about 500 times Jeffrey."
"Well then let me make it 501, I love you Reva."
"I love you too but you know you getting mushy again." she said with a giggle
"I'm never mushy."
"Oh yeah I forgot, you are Jeffrey O'Neill, Mr. Lone Wolf, Mr. No Strings Attached, Mr. Bad Boy......"
"OK that's enough..."
"Mr. Ladies Man." She chimed in
"Alright woman, I get it. Now will you please keep that mouth shut for two seconds."
"Why? Does Daddy Backup need to call in some reinforcements?" she said with a huge laugh
"You're so funny but no. I was actually going to sing to our daughter but if you'd rather make fun of me......."
"No, No, I'm sorry.....please, sing away, She loves to hear her daddy's voice."

She cuddled back up to him and laid her head on his chest as he began to sing.

Part 8

Cassie took a set in Franks office as he went to the other side of his desk, to his own chair. He sat with his elbows on his desk and his head in his hands for a moment before looking up to Cassie.
"Cassie, what the hell were you thinking?"
"Frank." she said weakly
"No Cassie, You came into a police station with a gun, and you were gonna shoot Dax infront of Mallet, who happens to be a police officer, at a police station. What were you thinking?"
"I just....I just wasn't....I just wanted to make him pay."
"OK, OK, I get that, but you're so lucky it was me and Mallet here and not someone else or you'd be sitting in a cell right next to Dax or worse."
"I get that."
"No Cassie, I don't think you do. I know everything that you have been through in the last couple of years and I know you're upset about Reva and the baby but if I didn't know you so well and the situation behind this little escapade. I would throw you in a cell and charge you with a list of things ten miles long."
Cassie turned her focus from Frank to the floor as she tried her hard to stop the tears that threatened to fall. Frank got up, walked over and knelt infront of her placing his hands on hers.
"Cassie, I know that you have alot going on in that pretty little head of yours but you need to pull it together.....you need to pull it together cause I need your help." he said in a soft sweet voice
Cassie looked up.
"What do you need my help with?" she asked with confession
"Well it's not just me, it's Reva too."
"Frank what are you talking about?"
"I'm sorry.... this is what I need.....I need you to help me get a confusion out of Dax.... I know we have evidence, but we need to know why he did it. This is very important, cause we need to know what was going through his mind to make sure he doesn't try to pull an insanity plea. Now I know it's gonna be hard, maybe impossible but the less I have to put Reva through right now the better."
"How is she Frank, and the baby?"
"Last I knew, they were putting her on medication because of high blood pressure and contractions, but that's all I know."
"I need to get back there."
"Not a problem, I'll take you."
"Thank you, and yes, I'll help in anyway I can." she said as she throw her arms around his neck.
He slowly put his arms around her and pulled her closer to him. He liked this. the feel of her, the smell of her, he just liked all of it, all of her. He quickly pulled from her embrace, turning his head form her, slightly blushing. Cassie looked at him, she know he was avoiding looking at her. She wondered if he felt something. The same something she was feeling.
"I have to know and there's only one way to find out."she thought to herself
She placed her hands on his face and turned it to her.Their eyes met, neither could turn away. They were liking, no loving what they saw in the others eyes. Quickly in unison, moving into a kiss. A long, slow, passionate kiss. Cassie the out a soft moan as Frank pulled them into a standing position, turning them around and gliding them onto his desk with her under him without his lips ever leaving hers. Their hands started to explore each other as their kiss became more and more passionate.
Frank reluctantly pulled back and looked into her eyes. He need to know if this was what she really wanted and instantly Cassie knew what he was doing, what he was thinking.
"Please don't stop." she whispered
That was all he needed and without hesitation he placed his lips back on top of hers. She ran her fingers through his hair as he made a sweet trail of kisses from her lips, along her jaw, down her neck and finally ending in the middle of her chest, right above her low cut shirt. He slowly ran his hands up her body until they reached the first button of her shirt. As he unbuttoned each and every button he placed kisses to her newly exposed skin. As he reached the last button of her shirt, they both jump to the sound of the phone ringing. They let out a deep frustrated sigh in unison.
"You need to get that, it could be about Reva." Cassie said breathless as she pushed Frank off of her.
Frank let out another sigh and rolled his eyes as he reached for the phone.
"Frank Cooper."
"Frank it's Rick. We've got the DNA sample from Reva's rape kit back. When can you bring me your sample from your perp? I'll do the test myself if you can bring it in today."
"Not a problem Rick. I'll bring it right to you. By the way, how's she doing?"
Rick explained everything he knew to Frank in full detail, and as he hung up the phone his mind once again swam with questions that he knew would never be answered. Cassie noticed the confused look on his face and instantly knew he was thinking about Reva.
"Frank" she said quietly, bringing him back to reality.
"I'm sorry Cassie."
"No, it's ok. Right now Reva is most important, so how is she...and the baby....how's the baby Frank?"
Frank told her everything that Rick had told him about Reva, the baby, and that Jeffrey was right there by her side. Everything about the rape kit and everything they had managed to collect from it. And as he finished, he noticed her face drop as she tried her hardest to process everything.
"Cassie, You alright?" he question in the most kind voice.
"Umm...yeah.....Let's get that DNA sample from Dax so we can get back to the hospital." she said as she quickly buttoned up her shirt.

Josh sat with his eyes closed and his head leaned against the wall behind him in the waiting room. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even notice that Buzz, Coop, Lizzie and Bill had come back in. He tried to keep his feelings in check as he thought that he should be the one by Reva's side, not Jeffrey. Yes, he knew that Jeffrey was her husband and the father of the baby, but in his mind, he knew her better than anyone and he was the only one who could get her through this. He and Jeffrey had made peace with each other for Reva's sake after he had come back from visiting Shane, but he still hated the fact that she was with Jeffrey. He felt like the only reason she was with him was the fact that he looked so much like Richard, and to him it felt that Jeffrey played off of that. Richard had been a big problem for them and now a Richard look alike was doing the same thing. He promised Reva that he would let her live her life the way she wanted and with whom she wanted but he could help thinking of how wrong it all seemed. He wouldn't say it to anyone for the fact that it might get back to her and then he would lose her altogether, but he couldn't help the way he felt. At least she was still in his life right now, maybe only as a friend, but he would take what he could get after the way he had hurt her. Marrying Cassie was the biggest mistake of his life. He did it because he wanted to hurt Reva but he never thought that he would hurt her so bad that she wouldn't come back to him.
Josh was abruptly brought out of his thoughts by the feeling of someones hand on his shoulder. As he opened his eyes he saw Billy standing over him with a weak smile.
"Hey little brother, not sleeping were you?"
"No, no, just thinking."
"How's she doing'?"
"I'm not sure, I haven't heard anything in awhile."
"Where's Jeffrey?"
"He's in with her right now." he said with disgust as he rolled his eyes
"Come on bro, you know she's happy with him. She loves him and nothing is going to change that. And as much as I wanted her to go back to you, I see how happy he makes her and that's all I want for her. And he loves her as much as you do."
"No one can love her as much as I do."
"I'm not saying this to hurt you but you need to let her go just like I did. Granted, I was not for this in the beginning either but I have really gotten to know him and he loves her with his whole heart and that is all that matters. And no offence but you have no one to blame but yourself."
"Billy, I really don't need the third degree, I have enough on my mind right now if you don't mind."
"I think you need it now more than ever. I see that look on your face and in your eyes and I know it all to well. You want to be with her more than ever, but you have to let it go. Trust me. I know you love her but if you loved her as much as you say you do, you would want her to be happy.....and she is happy Josh, as much as you hate the fact that she's happy without you. You have to take what you can get and to just thank God that she still wants you in her life at all."
"Don't you think I know that Billy. I know that I'm lucky that she even wants anything to do with me after what I did to her, but the fact still remains that I don't trust him."
"Come with me. I want to show you something."
Josh just looked at Billy trying to think of what he wanted to show him that couldn't wait.
"Get up Josh and come with me now." Billy said as he grabbed Josh's arm and pulled him out of the chair.
Billy kept his grip on his brother as he drug him out of the waiting room and down the hallway. He finally stopped and let go as he reached Reva's room.
"Now look in that window and tell me that he doesn't love her."
"Not now Billy."
"NO, you look in that window right now and tell me to my face that he doesn't love her."
Josh slowly turned his head and looked in the window of the door and his heart sank. Billy looked at his brother knowing that his heart was breaking but he knew this was the only way he could make him see what he had seen. To see the real love that was between Reva and Jeffrey. The love that in Billy's mind was more than anything Josh and Reva had ever known together. The love that anyone would kill, just to have a piece of what they had. Billy continued to watch as tears silently fell from Josh's eyes. He hoped and prayed that they were because he was finally getting the picture of what Jeffrey and Reva really felt for one another, not just the fact that she was in someone else's arms.
"Now do you see what I mean little brother?"
Without a word Josh took of down the hall and Billy followed.

Part 7

Cassie burst into the police station with fire in her eyes. She walked down the hall and there he was, right in front of her, the man she came here to see. The man that had hurt her sister in the most possible way, was being escorted by Mallet right towards her.
Mallet stopped in his tracks and tightened his grip on Dax's arm when he noticed Cassie.
"Cassie?" said Mallet calmly feeling something was wrong.
She paused for a moment, just staring at Dax, but the longer she stared at him, the hotter the fire inside her grew.
"Perfect timing." she remarked in a eerie voice as she reached into her purse and pulled out a fully loaded pistol and aimed it straight at Dax's head.
"Cassie, what are you doing? Put the gun down." Mallet said trying to remain calm.
"I don't think so Mallet, He needs to pay for what he did to Reva."
"Cassie please, you don't want to do this."
"Oh no Mallet, I want to do this more than you will ever know." she said remaining to calm for Mallet's liking.
"Cassie Come on, Just put the gun down, PLEASE, lets just talk about this."he pleaded
"TALK ABOUT WHAT? TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT HE KIDNAPPED MY SISTER? TALK ABOUT WHAT HE DID TO HER? WHAT EXACTLY WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT?"
"Please, just calm down, we got him and he's not going anywhere."
"Oh he's going somewhere alright. He's going straight to hell and I've got his one way ticket." she said as an evil smile came to her face.
"Cassie please, let the law handle him."
"LET THE LAW HANDLE HIM? TO MANY TIMES HAVE YOU TRIED TO HANDLE THINGS IN THE WAYS OF THE LAW AND TO MANY TIMES HAVE PEOPLE LIKE HIM, COME BACK TO HURT THE SAME PEOPLE AGAIN. SO LET THE LAW HANDLE HIM MALLET? I DON'T THINK SO....HE WILL PAY FOR WHAT HE DID TO HER, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER."
"What I did to her Cassie? All I am guilty of is loving her."
"LOVE?....YOU CALL WHAT YOU DID TO HER LOVE?....YOU KIDNAPPED HER.... AND YOU RAPED HER....AND NOW SHE MIGHT LOSE HER BABY BECAUSE OF YOU."
"Aww.....that's to bad." Dax said sarcastically as a smile came across his face at the news.
That was it, he had just given her all she needed to go through with it. She cocked the gun and was about to pulled the trigger when she heard the door behind her slam against the wall.
"CASSIE, DON'T DO IT." frank yelled as he ran up behind her.
"Frank, I have to do this, just walk away and let me do this."
"Honey, you know I can't just walk away. Not only as a cop but as a friend."
"He needs to pay for what he did."
"Yes he does, and he will, but not like this......don't give him the easy way out....if you pull that trigger you will be giving him an easy out....and you will go to prison, not him.....Reva is gonna need you and how are you going to help her if you're in prison."
"I am helping her, the only way I know how.....I'm doing this for her.....I'm doing this so she doesn't have to worry about him ever again."
"Please think about this.....how do you think Reva's going to handle the fact that you are in prison for trying to help her? You know that if you do this, she is going to blame herself, and you don't want her to blame herself for any of this do you? Frank said calmly as he placed his hand on her shoulder.
He could feel her whole body trembling under his hand. He wanted to take all the pain of the last couple of years away. Both of these sisters had been through so much in their lives. So much that he wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy, and it never seemed to stop for them. Every time things would start to calm down and they would finally start to move on with their lives something else would happen and turn their world upside down again. He know that was one of the reasons that Cassie was there right now. She hadn't gotten over Tammy's death and now with everything going on with Reva, it was just to much for her.
"You'll just have to make her understand that it's not her fault."
"Come on Cassie, you know Reva better than that....if you shoot him, she will blame herself and nothing I nor anyone else can say anything that will change that....Please Cassie, think of Reva.....she has enough to worry about right now without you adding to it, and that's what you'd be doing if you shoot him....."
Frank let his words sink in a moment before slowly running his hand down her arm and onto her hand. He felt her relax her grip a bit and knew that he had to do it now before she changed her mind. He grabbed for the gun as fast as he could and once it was out of her hand Frank and Mallet both let out a sigh of relief.
Tears welled up in Cassie's eyes. She felt as if she had just let down her sister when she needed her most. No matter what problems they had with each other, they would always do what ever it took to help the other and now Cassie had not done that. She wanted so much to make Dax pay but she didn't want Reva to feel as if it were her fault.
"You are such a failure Cassie, You always have been and you always will be, and no matter how hard you try, you will always be second best when it comes to Catherine!"
Frank rapped his arms around Cassie as quickly as he could before she had the chance to go after him.
"Mallet get him out of here now."
Mallet grabbed Dax's arm as hard as he could and pulled him along, passed Cassie and Frank, and down the hall. Once they were out of sight Frank let go of her. She turned to Frank as the tears continued to fall.
"He's right you know. I will always be second best when it comes to Reva. It's always been that way."
"Cassie, you are no ones second best."
"Oh really, What about Richard? Josh? Jeffrey? Our mother? I am and was second best in all their eyes."
"Why don't we go to my office. There are somethings I would like to talk to you about."
Cassie nodded and Frank placed his hand on the small of her back as to usher her to walk.

"I'm so sorry, this is all my fault." Reva cried as she tried to hold back her tears.
"Honey, this is not your fault..."
"Yes it is Jeffrey. I should've known that my past in San Cristabel would come back to haunt me again. I don't even know who he is but I know that he knows me from there. I was the one who made all this happen." she said as she now let her tears fall freely.
Jeffrey placed his hand under her chin and lifted her head so she was looking at him. It broke his heart to hear her blaming herself for any of this.
"Now you listen to me. None of this and I mean none of this is your fault. You can't...."
He stopped as he felt her body tighten up again with another contraction. She grabbed his shirt as if it were her lifeline and let out a deep long moan.
"Just breath sweety, Just breath." he said as he tightened his arms around her.
As he continued to encourage Reva, he noticed Lillian out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head to her and watched as she walk toward the I.V. pump. Lillian looked at the pump then down at the chart and back to the pump. The look on her face made Jeffrey's heart sink.
"What's wrong Lillian?" he questioned quietly, trying not to distract Reva.
"The medication is not working as fast as we need it to so I'm gonna have to bump it up again." she replied in a whisper.
"Do what ever you have to do Lillian, just please save our baby." He softly pleaded
"Jeffrey, I promise you that we are doing everything we can, and the medicine is working, just not....."She paused when she noticed Reva was now listening.".....Reva, how are you feeling?"
"Don't change the subject Lillian, what's wrong?"
"Nothings wrong sweety, Just try to relax."
"Don't lie to me Jeffrey. I know that look on both of your faces, somethings wrong now tell me what it is."
Jeffrey looked to Lillian. He didn't want to be the one to tell her but he knew it should come from him. Jeffrey and Lillian both knew that Reva always seemed to handle things better when they came from him.
"Please Jeffrey, tell me what's wrong." she pleaded
"OK, OK,.....Lillian was telling me that they need to give you more of the medication because it's not slowing down you contractions fast enough."
Fresh hot tears streamed down her cheeks at the news.
"Hey, it's OK....."
"Jeffrey, I can't lose the baby......"
Jeffrey placed his finger on her lips to keep her from going any further.
"Listen.....do you hear that.....that is our baby's heartbeat.....our baby Reva.....and her heart beat is so strong......and she is so strong......strong like you honey, just like you.....but right now you both just need a little help."
"Promise me.....promise me she's gonna be OK Jeffrey, promise me we're not going to lose our baby girl." she cried as tears fell like waterfalls from her eyes.
He know that he couldn't promise her what she wanted, and looking at her and listening to her cries brought tears to his eyes as well.
"Honey, as much as I would love to to promise you that, you know I can't.... but what I can promise you is that Rick and Lillian are doing everything in their power to make sure that that doesn't happen.....and I also promise that I'm gonna do everything I can too.....I love you and I love our beautiful baby girl, and if I could do something, anything you know I would." he said realizing that for once in his life he was completely helpless.
The one thing he wanted to do for her more than anything in the whole world was out of his hands. He was always able to make any of her problems go away, no matter how big or small, but now, now he had no control, he couldn't just make a couple of phone calls and problem solved. He hated this and so did she. She wanted to be able to close her eyes and know that when she opened them again, Jeffrey would have made everything that had happened just disappear, like he had so many times before, but she knew that no matter how much they both wanted that, he couldn't do it this time. This time it was in God's hands,and all they could do was pray that he wouldn't take their baby girl away from them, their baby girl who hadn't even had a chance to live yet.

Part 6

An eerie silence fell over the entire waiting room at Cedars as almost every one of Reva's friends waited for news on her and the baby. They all sat watching as Jeffrey paced around the room, clenching his fists until they had become white. No one had ever seen him like this before. He was always so good at hiding his feelings but now he was just quiet, way to quiet for their liking. He along with Josh and Frank were the only ones that really knew what had taken place in that house, and that was all they could think about. Each one replaying it over and over in their minds. Everyone wanted answers but were to afraid to ask. The look on the three men's faces told them that they needed to leave it alone.
Everyone jumped as a loud crash broke the silence. Jeffrey had picked up the magazine rack and thrown it at the wall and then they watched as he ran over to the wall punching it over and over. Frank and Josh were the first ones up out of there seats as they ran over to him. One on each side grabbing his arms, holding him back. Everyone else except for Cassie decided that they should wait outside. As they filed out of the room, Jeffrey fought to free himself from Josh and Franks grasp as Cassie yelled out.
"Jeffrey please stop this."
Frank and Josh couldn't hold him anymore, he slipped from their hands and ran back to the wall, punching it until he tired himself. Then and only then had tears found their way to his eyes as he fell to his knees and cried. The three of them stood there, watching him, hearts braking for him, as this man that they all knew so well, this man that seemed like nothing could ever penetrate his deep macho exterior, now sat in front of them, his heart and soul crumbling into a million pieces.
Cassie started to walk over to him to comfort him but she was stopped by Josh.
"Not now Cassie, just let him be."Josh said quietly
"I have to try and help him. I hate seeing him this way."
"Cassie, just let him be for now, he needs to have some time alone."
"He is feeling something more then worry for Reva and the baby. Something happened in that house to my sister and I want to know what."
Josh pulled her to the opposite side of the waiting room.
"Cassie please, just leave it alone for now, please. We all have enough to worry about." Josh quietly pleaded
"No Josh, she's my sister I have a right to know."
"I know you have a right to know but now is not the time."
"You listen to me Joshua, Reva is my sister, and something happened to her in that house...."she grabbed the front of his shirt. "....and you are going to tell me right now"
"Alright, you're right, but this stays here. No one else knows and that's the way it's gonna stay."
"Fine Josh, just tell me."
"He.....he.....he raped her. We kicked down the door and we saw him"
Without a word Cassie let go of his shirt and ran out of the room. Josh stood there for a moment wondering if he should go after her but decided that Jeffrey needed him more. He watched and waited a few minutes so Jeffrey could have his time alone, then he slowly walked over to Jeffrey and placed his hand on Jeffrey's shoulder.
"Jeffrey, you have to pull yourself together now, You don't want Reva to see you like this, do you?" He said very calmly but knew exactly what he was feeling.
"I am going to kill him Josh, For what he did to her."
"Don't put your hate for this man in front of your love for Reva. She is going to need you now more than ever, and don't you worry about him, I will handle it."
Jeffrey looked up into Josh's eyes and could tell he already had a plan. Jeffrey stood up holding his right hand to his chest.
"What are you planning Josh."
"Don't worry about it."
"No Josh, what ever you are planning, don't."
"Jeffrey please, just take care of Reva and let me take care of him." Josh's eyes fell to Jeffrey's hand and the sight of it made his stomach turn. "Lets see if we can get your hand fixed."
"Don't change the subject, I don't want you to get your hands dirty. Reva would kill me if I let you do something stupid. I have people that can handle this. All I have to do is make a couple of calls and he'll be out of our lives, and I will do that as soon as I can. Just promise me that you won't do anything until we talk more. We will take care of him, together."
"Alright I promise. Now please can we get your hand fixed cause it looks really bad." he said with a smile
Jeffrey looked down at his hand, it was not the hand he was not use to seeing. In a very short amount of time it had become five times it's original size and had already turn many shades of black and blue.
"Yeah....Umm...I think you broke it....and your other one.... it doesn't look much better." Laughed Josh as he saw Jeffrey's face as he looked at both of his hands in disbelief.
"Well I'll get it looked at as soon as I know....." he cut himself off when he saw Rick enter the room.
"Rick, how is she?"
"She's stable for now...."
"What do you mean for now....and the baby.....how's the baby?"
"They're both hanging on, but I'm not going to lie to you...This could go either way. Her blood pressure is throw the roof and she's having contractions....... Now, we have started her on a medication called Magnesium Sulfate. This will hopefully stop the contractions and help with the high blood pressure but there are side effects. We have to keep a very close eye on her because some of the side effects are very serious............ We hope that she won't have to be on this medication long because the longer she is on it, the more likely a problem will occur............ But I will tell you, if her blood pressure does not go down and fast the baby will not have a chance. With blood pressure as high as hers it decreases the oxygen flow to the baby and the baby is not far enough along to survive outside the womb, so we have to pray that this medication work........ She is still in alot of pain and we have given her something for it but she needs to calm down. If she doesn't we are gonna have to sedate her and I don't want to do that if at all possible. But I promise you, I will do everything in my power to help them."
Jeffrey and Josh looked at Rick then looked to each other trying to comprehend everything that they heard.
"Ok, you said something about side effects?" questioned Josh
"Yes, the medication we had to put her on has a long list of side effects. Some are very common and minor but others even though rare, are very serious. But as of right now, she's handling it very well."
"What are the side effects, Rick? I need to know" pleaded Jeffrey
Rick hesitated for a moment
"The common side effects.......Flushing, Nausea, Vomiting, Palpitations, Headache, General muscle weakness, Lack of energy and drowsiness....... Complications ........Cardiac arrest, Pulmonary edema, Chest pain, Cardiac conduction defects, Low blood pressure, Visual disturbances, Decreased bone density, Respiratory depression, Muscular hyper excitability .........And Rare but Severe Complications.......Profound muscular paralysis and Intestinal obstruction."
Rick watched as Josh and Jeffrey's faces dropped
"Rick....." Jeffrey said weakly
"Jeffrey, I know this is hard to hear, but I promise you that we are monitoring her very closely. There will be someone in there with her at all times, and if a problem should arise, she will be taken off the medication immediately.........Jeffrey, she needs to be on this if we have any hope of saving the baby."
"When can I see her."
"You can go and see her now but before you do, I need to tell you that she is very shaken by what has happened. She is having a hard time letting anyone get remotely close to her in anyway. She won't look at us or even talk to us. You need to be very careful how you handle her. If she gets to upset you will have to leave." he said matter of fact

As Rick led Jeffrey to Reva's room he noticed his hand.
"Jeffrey what happened to your hand?"
"Don't worry about it, it's fine."
"You should let me look at it."
"Thanks but right now I just need to be with Reva."
"Jeffrey...."
"NO Rick, My wife needs me and I'll be damned if I'm gonna leave her for this." he said as he raised his hand
Rick throw his hands up in surrender.
They reached Reva's room but before opening the door Jeffrey paused and looked in the window. There she was, the love of his life, laying on her side in a hospital bed slowly rocking herself as she cried. As he looked at her he felt like someone had just stabbed him in the heart. How was he going to help her through this, would she even let him? She had always been so strong and now she was more vulnerable then he had ever seen. All he wanted to do was take her pain away, to turn back time so none of this happened. He felt so helpless.
He slowly opened the door and the sweetest most wonderful sound fell into his ears, the sound of their baby's heartbeat. His baby, their baby was still holding on, it was strong like it's mother. He couldn't help but feel a little hopeful. Taking a seat next to her bed, his left hand found hers. She pulled away not realizing it was Jeffrey.
"It's ok, it's just me" He said in the softest saddest voice
The sound of his voice made her instantly put her hand back. The touch of his hand made her feel safe. She slowly looked up at him, their eyes meet, and they saw all the hurt, fear, pain and sadness that the others tear stained eyes held. Jeffrey opened his mouth to speak but Reva beat him to it.
"Just hold me, please." she softly pleaded
Without hesitation, he got up and climbed into bed with her. He rapped his arms around her as tight as he could. He wanted to say something, do something, to make all her pain go away, but he knew no words or actions were going to help. All he could do was hold her.
A soft moan fell from her lips and her body tightened as the pain of a contraction built up inside of her.
"Shh........." was all he could say as tears fell from her cheek soaking into his shirt.

Part 5

As Jeffrey closed in on the house he slowed just a bit, waiting for at least one of the other to catch up. As much as he wanted to just bust down the door, he had no clue what he was up against. He couldn't put her in anymore danger then she was already in.
In just moments Josh and Frank had caught up to him, leaving Cassie and the others behind.
"Jeffrey you go around to the left and I'll go to the right. We need to try and see what we are up against. Josh I want you out front to inform the others."
"GET OFF OF ME." Reva screamed
"NO Frank there is not enough time. I'm going in, with or without you."
Jeffrey reached for the door knob and turned it, He was shocked to find it unlocked. As quickly and quietly as possible, he opened the door and entered the house followed by the others. With a quick glance, they spotted nothing except a couple of closed doors. He ran to the door where her screams were coming from. Frank pulled his gun and on the count of three they kicked down the door.
They were horrified at the sight in front of them but they didn't miss a beat. Everything happened at once. Jeffrey ran forward, grabbing the man by the throat and throwing him to the ground, Frank kept his gun pointed at his target, ready to shoot, and Josh covered Reva's trembling body with the blanket and tried to comfort her. As soon as Jeffrey could, he turned back to Reva.
"It's OK Honey, I'm here." He said softly as he pulled out his pocket knife and cut her arms and legs loose.
As soon as she was freed, Jeffrey scooped her up in his arms and rushed her outside, away from everyone. Josh followed yet still gave them the distance that they so desperately needed.
Still holding Reva, Jeffrey sat on the ground, holding her as tight as he could and rocked her. She kept her head buried in his shoulder as she sobbed and shook uncontrollably. He pulled the blanket up around her neck trying to cover every part of her body, trying to make her feel safe. Tears welled up in his eyes as his mind finally grasped what had just happened.
"I'm sorry....I'm so so sorry." was all he could say, over and over.
Cassie come up behind Josh and placed her chin on his shoulder. He raised his hand as if motioning her away. She removed her chin and placed her hand in the same spot, turning him towards her. As she looked at him she could tell that tears were on there way, and Josh wasn't going to let her see them so he quickly turned back to Jeffrey and Reva.
Josh and Cassie stood back with a watchful eye, making sure that no one would disturb them. Cassie had a million questions she wanted to ask, because she had not seen what happened, but the look on Josh's face told her that now was not the time.
They turned toward the house when they heard Frank calling them. As they started to walk over toward him they saw the masked man being drug out of the house by two officers. Josh took off running, and as he reached him Josh pulled off the mask. He gasped at the face he saw. He couldn't believe the man that was standing in front of him.
"Josh, he won't tell us his name, Do you know who he is?"
"Yeah....yeah that is Dax. He was one of Richards......."he said stumbling for his words
Before he could finish his sentence Cassie came out of nowhere and knocked Dax out of the officers hands and tackled him to the ground. She punched him once, twice, three times before Frank pulled her off.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS.......WE ALL TRUSTED YOU."
"Get him out of here." Said Frank as he was still holding Cassie.
As the two officers and Josh were taking Dax to the car, He saw Reva out of the corner of his eye.
"CATHERINE, I LOVE YOU, I WOULD NEVER HURT YOU."
"Don't you dare say another word to her." Josh said as his anger quickly grew.

The sound of his voice made Reva's body tighten up and shake even more. All of a sudden she cried out in pain and doubled over in Jeffrey's lap.
"Honey what is it what's wrong?" quickly fell from his lips with deep concern
"The...Baby..."Was all she could say before another pain hit and she cried out again
"JOSH, JOSH, CALL AN AMBULANCE NOW." yelled Jeffrey
Josh ran over to them as fast as he could
"What's wrong?"
Reva let out another cry of pain. Jeffrey suddenly felt a warm, wet feeling on his lap where she was sitting. He immediately stood up holding her as tight as he could. The look on Jeffrey face scared Josh.
"Look at my legs." he mouthed
Josh looked down at Jeffrey's legs. His face told Jeffrey everything he needed to know.
"Blood" Josh mouthed back."I'll get the car." He said aloud as he ran from them. Jeffrey followed as fast as he could with Reva intow.

Cassie and Frank were deep in conversation about Dax when they heard Reva's cries. They turned just in time to see Josh running toward them. Josh saw the fear on Cassie's face. He couldn't stop to tell her what was going on but she needed to come with them.
"Reva's Bleeding. " he yelled as he ran right passed.
Cassie took off after Josh and Frank after Jeffrey. As Frank got closer to Jeffrey he saw all the blood and his heart sank. After all she had been through in the last 12 hours, now she could be losing the baby.
"How could you be so cruel. You know, one person can only handle so much, right?" He asked in his mind knowing there would be no answer. "I know Reva is the strong, the strongest person I know, but even she has her limits."
Frank had finally reached Jeffrey
"You want me to......."
Frank was interrupted by another cry from Reva. Jeffrey looked to Frank as they ran faster, His eyes pleading with Frank to tell him this was not happening, to tell him that it was just a dream, to tell him he wasn't going to lose his baby, the baby he never even knew he wanted until he found out she was pregnant, but Frank's face only held sadness for them.

They had finally reached the car, got in and before Franks door was even closed all the way Josh took off. Reva's cries ripped at everyone hearts as Jeffrey and Cassie tried with everything they had to try to calm her but their attempts were futile.
To everyone the drive felt never ending. Josh was driving as fast as his car would let him and yet it didn't seem fast enough.
When they had finally reached the hospital, Jeffrey rushed Reva into a room where Rick, Lillian, and five other nurses were waiting. Frank had called ahead of time so that they would be ready.
Jeffrey placed Reva on the bed and was instantly pulled away from her by Josh and Cassie at Ricks request. All four of them stood in the doorway watching helplessly as Rick and the nurses worked frantically on Reva. They were finally ushered into the waiting room after Jeffrey's many attempts to go to her side when she cried out.

Part 4

Reva silently tried to free her right hand as the masked man lay next to her sleeping. He had finally taken all he could from her for one night and had fallen asleep just as the sun was coming up. His hot breath on her made her skin crawl and the thoughts of the night played over and over again in her mind. She had to free herself one way or another. She was not going to let him do that to her again. "God, Please let him be out for awhile." She prayed to herself as she pulled at the rope again. Her wrist was bleeding again, but worse then it was before and she wasn't sure how much more pain she could inflict on herself.
"Jeffrey please find me. I need you to help me get out of here. I can't do it myself. I'm trying but I can't do it. Please help me." she thought as though she was hoping that he could read her mind. Hoping, praying that their connection was so strong that he would hear her and find her.

A sudden wave of fear came over Jeffrey as he drove to the south side of town. He wasn't sure why but he felt like he was going in the wrong direction. Everything in his body was telling him to go north. There was something pulling him that way and he couldn't ignore it. The feeling was just to strong. They had to start at the north side of town, he just knew it. He pulled out his phone and dialed Frank.
"Hello"
"Frank are the new search parties there yet."
"Yeah they just arrived."
" OK I want everyone to meet me at road block north of town."
"We were planning on starting on the south side."
"No Frank, I can't explain it, but we need to start on the north side."
Frank knew better than to argue with Jeffrey especially when it came to Reva.
"Alright we'll meet you there."
Jeffrey hung up the phone and turned the car around.

Reva cried out in pain. She had a cramp, a terrible stomach cramp. She tried to keep quite but it caught her off guard. As soon as the noise left her lips she knew that she had awaken him.
He stretched his arm across her and a huge smile came to his face.
"Good morning my Princess." He said as he opened his eyes and looked up at her.
Her eyes were bloodshot and tears were pouring down her face.
"Now don't cry, everything is going to be fine."
He reached out to wipe her tears away and as he touched her face she quickly closed her eyes and turned her head away from him.
"DON"T TOUCH ME" she said through clenched teeth
"Now is that the thanks I get for making all your dreams comes true."
She remained silent as tears continued to fall
"It's OK, in time you will love me the way I love you."
"I WILL NEVER LOVE YOU. I DESPISE YOU. I HATE YOU AND THAT IS ALL I WILL FEEL FOR YOU. AND NOTHING, NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE THAT. I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL"
"Well I think you just need a little more persuasion is all."
He placed his hand on the blanket and slowly pulled it down to reveal her still naked body. He gasped at the sight of her in the light. Something he hadn't seen or felt last night. Her abdomen was slightly raised and he new exactly what that meant, she was pregnant. Pregnant again with another mans child, but at this moment he didn't care, He loved her and she was with him, and that's all that mattered. He would handle this little problem later.
His eyes glided along her body as the sunlight made her glow like an angel. She was more perfect in the light then in the dark, He thought. He slowly ran his hands along her body, making sure he touched every single inch of her. He was falling more in love with her every passing minute, and as his love for her grew, her hate for him grew. She could never hate anyone as much as she hated him. He had taken something from her, something very special and the feeling of his hand on her made her sick to her stomach.
He leaned up and started placing kisses along her neck as he glided his body on top of hers once more. He loved her and couldn't get enough of her.

Jeffrey was now about a mile away from the road block when he noticed a dirt road off to the right. Something told him to pull the car over, and as he did, he could feel her, she was close, closer then he had felt all night. He got out of the car, and took in his surroundings. The longer he stood there his feeling grew stronger. "I know you're here, I can feel you. I'm going to find you, I promise." he thought as if he was talking right to her. Just then he noticed a long line of cars coming up the road. It was Frank and the others. They pulled up behind Jeffrey's car. Jeffrey ran over to Frank before he could get out.
"Frank, she's around here, I can feel it."
"Well then lets....."
Frank was interrupted by a blood curdling scream. Jeffrey knew that scream. They all knew that scream. It was her, it was Reva. With out a word Jeffrey took off down the dirt road as fast as he could followed closely by Frank, Josh, Cassie and the others. Up ahead Jeffrey saw a run down house. That's where she was he knew it. He could hear her screams.
"GET OFF OF ME.......GET OFF........I HATE YOU." ****************************************************************

Part 3

Reva's wrists were now very sore, but she continued to pull as blood ran down her arms and finally landing on the bed. She was starting to get tired but there was no way she was going to give up. Her mind was still racing with thoughts of Jeffrey, the baby, her kids, her family. Hoping that they were out looking for her. Hoping that they would find her before something happened to her or the baby. She had no way to tell what the kidnappers intentions were, even though she had a pretty good idea, she'd be damned if she was going to stay to find out.
Tears ran down her face like waterfalls at the thought of never seeing her family again. NO, she wasn't going to think that way. She couldn't give up. Just then she heard a noise coming from right outside the door. Her panic grew and her blood ran cold. She heard a key in the lock and the knob turn. The door slowly opened and in walked a person holding a small box. By the look of this person, she could tell it was a man. He was alittle short, average weight and his face was covered by a ski mask.
The masked man walked over to the bed and sat down next to her with the box in tow.
"Good morning Princess, Did you sleep well?"He said in a loving caring voice
"Who are you and what did you do to me?" she asked not realizing what he called her.
"I did nothing to you that would hurt you, And you will know who I am soon enough. I brought you a present, Would you like to see it?"
"NO I DON'T WANT TO SEE IT." she snapped
"Oh come on now. Every Princess needs her crown." he said with a smile on his face as he opened the box and pulled out a beautiful diamond tiara.
"Did you just call me Princess?"
"Oh yes Princess Catherine, I know who you are."
"I am not Catherine, my name is Reva."
"No matter what your name was before or what you go by now, you will always be my Princess." he said as he placed the crown on her head and smiled. "You look Beautiful. perfect fit."
"Who are you and why are you doing this?"
"Why am I doing this? I'll tell you why. From the moment I saw you, I fell in love with you. You were the most beautiful woman that I had ever seen, and I vowed to myself that you would be mine, but nothing that I ever did for you seemed to be enough for you to notice me and my love for you. Instead you fell for Richard, and do you realize how much that hurt. To not be even given a second glance.... I watched you day in and day out, falling more in love with HIM...... I loved you.....I wanted you.....but you loved him you wanted him.....you got married ......and you got pregnant, and it broke my heart that you were going to have a child with someone other than me ...... I wanted you to have my children......and when your son was born I knew what I had to do.......I had to get rid of him.......So I hired Edmund to kill your son....... and he was all to eager to help....... I hoped that when you lost your son it would be to painful for you to stay with Richard........and then you would see me and the love I had for you.....but things didn't go as I had planned.........you gave your son away and left........and I thought I had lost you for ever.........but then you came back.......you were married to yet another man.........You tore my heart into pieces again that day........and then you left again and I followed you...... and I made a promise to myself that no matter how long it took, you were going to pay for what you did to me and that I was going to make you fall in love with me........I have watched you for years, Catherine...... planing all this out......making sure that everything went right this time.........and then last night when I saw you walking in the park all by yourself...... I realized that it was now or never.........All I have ever wanted is for you to love me Catherine, and now that I have you I will never let you go."
"You say that you love me, but if you really love me you would want me to be happy, and I am happy with my Husband."
"NO, YOU JUST THINK YOU"RE HAPPY BECAUSE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN WITH ME." he spat but quickly regained his composer "I can give you anything and everything that your heart desires. I can make you happy Catherine, all you have to do is let me love you. And once you feel my love, you will never want to leave. I know you can love me like I love you, all you have to do is give me a chance."
He placed his hand on her chest and ran it down her body, sending shivers down both of their spines but for very different reasons.
"Please don't do this." she pleaded as tears started to well up in her eyes for fear of what he was planning.
"Now Princess Don't cry. All you have to do is let me love you. Then you will see that I am the only man that can satisfy you."
He leaned down to her, kissing her on her neck and then slowly made his way down her body.
"PLEASE.....don't do this.......this isn't the way you want to win my love is it? If you really love me like you say you do, you won't do this to me."
He looked up at her.
"My Darling, if this was just about love then you would be right, but I am not just out for your love.... Oh no, I am also out for revenge as well. You see, I have come to the conclusion that I need to make you feel the pain that I have been feeling for all these years....to make you realize that I'm only doing this because I love you....You have to know all the hurt that you caused my heart...... then, and only then will you truly know how I feel."
He went back to kissing her all over her body. There was no way that she could fight him off, she couldn't move, and she knew that no matter what she said to him it was not going to change his mind but she had to try. She begged and pleaded with him as he slowly stood and undressed himself, everything but his mask. He laid his body on top of hers, kissing her, loving her, and all she could do was scream.

Dawn was now approaching and soon there would be reinforcements from the neighboring towns. The last few hours hadn't turned up any new leads and thing were starting to look very bad. Everyone knew that the longer she was missing the less likely there were to ever find her.
Buzz and Lillian had just left to go get coffee as everyone else gathered at Cross Creek to formulate another plan. Cross Creek had now been turned into headquarters.
Jeffrey and one of the officers were standing outside talking, waiting for Buzz and Lillian to get back.
"There has to be something we missed." said Jeffrey with desperation
"Jeffrey we have looked all over town. If she were here we would have found her."
"I am not giving up on her. She's out there somewhere and I'm going to find her."
"I'm not saying that we should give up. I'm saying that maybe she's not here in town......."
"NO...She's here, I can feel her. We just have to look harder. We have to go back and check everything again and again until she is found."
"I understand where you are coming from but......."
"NO YOU DON"T. You couldn't possibly understand where I am coming from. Reva and I have a very special kind of bond. A bond that no one can understand...... I can feel her so close....... I know she's still here....She's crying out for me and yet I can't find her.....I can't help her.....I can't help my own wife and child.....How could you possibly........" that was all he could say and he turned and walked to his car. As he drove off, his mind was going a million miles a minute, and the anger, frustration and desperation that he was felt was not helping. He felt as if he had let her down by not keeping her safe enough. He could feel her close to him but had no idea where to look. Tears ran down his cheek as helplessness came flooding over him.
"They're all just freaking insane. Standing around there, TALKING. Talking about what we should do next is not going to find you. I promise you Reva, I will find you and bring you home if it's the last thing I do. I can not live my life without you and our baby. I will search this whole damn world by myself if I have to, but I will bring you home. I will not rest until I know your safe."

Part 2

Everyone was searching for Reva. Uniforms were everywhere, Frank at the station, Cassie at The Beacon, Buzz at the Lighthouse, Billy on Main Street, Lillian at Cross Creek, Lizzie and Bill at the airport, Marina and Mallet in the woods by the house, and Jeffrey and Josh in Jeffrey's car.
"Where could she be Josh?"
"I'm not sure Jeffrey, but we're getting nowhere fast."
"Let's go check the park, I don't think they have anyone there yet."
"That's a good idea, we have alot of people searching but not enough to cover the whole town and just driving around is useless."
They pull up to the park, got out and walk to the path.
"Alright we'll cover more if we split up. I'll go this way." said Jeffrey
Both men ran in their own direction calling out for her. After about five minutes Josh spotted something on the ground ahead, A purse. He ran over to it and instantly knew who's it was because he had bought it for her. He pulled out his phone and called Jeffrey as he looked around.
"Jeffrey I found her purse and phone by the fountain. Get over here and I'll call Frank."
"I'll be right there, don't touch anything."
"I didn't."
Josh hung up from Jeffrey and called Frank.
"Hey Frank I found her purse at the park, I don't see her but I need you to send someone over here now."
"I'll have a search party over there in minutes."
Josh hung up and started to ran around calling for her being sure that he never lost sight of her purse. He was soon caught up by Jeffrey. Josh took Jeffrey to Reva's purse and Jeffrey conformed that it was hers.
"Josh stay here until Frank gets here I'm gonna go look around some more."
"Yeah, go."
Jeffrey ran off and Josh just stared at her purse , fear and panic made their blood run cold, because they knew for sure that she had been taken by someone. But Who?
"Why can't this stuff just stay in the past? Why is it that every time she is happy, something from the past comes back to haunt her?" Josh looked up at the stars as tears started to slowly roll down his cheeks. "Why can't you just let her be happy?"

"God please let her and our baby be safe. If I lost them I don't know what I would do. Please let her come home. I would gladly give you myself if I knew they would be safe." he said as he looked up in the sky.
When he looked back down, he realized that he was now in the south parking lot and right in front of him was Reva's car. He ran over to it hoping that there would be some clue as to what happened to her but no such luck. He pulled his phone out and called Josh.
"Josh I found her car it's in the south lot."
"Alright, the detectives just showed up and others are on there way so I'll send one over."

Reva was still unconscious and the stranger now had her completely undressed.
"Don't worry princess." he said softly as he rubbed the side of her face. "I'll wait until you're awake for this. I've waited years to have you and a little while longer won't kill me."
His eyes danced along her naked body. He was taken back by how beautiful she still looked after all these years. He could never have guessed that she would still make him lose his breath at the sight of her. He wanted her, needed her to feel the pain that he had felt as he watched her fall in love with Richard and not him. He loved her but she had to pay for braking his heart. It broke when she never looked at him the way she did Richard. He longed for her to look at him with those gorgeous blue eyes and tell him that she loved him. He longed for her to touch him, to love him, love him the way she did Richard. He would make her love him that way, It didn't matter how long it would take, she would love him. He let his hand slide up and down her body and as he did so, she started to stir.
"Princess don't worry I am going to take care of you in every since. I'll be right back, don't you go anywhere, I have a big surprise for you, and I'm gonna get it now so you'll have it when you wake."
He quickly got up and walked out of the room, shutting and locking the door behind him.
Reva stirred alittle more before opening her eyes, taking in her surroundings. It was dark, except for one candle lit by the far wall. Trying to adjust her eyes to the dark, she looked around, nothing looked familiar, she then realized that she was tied to a bed and she was naked."WHAT THE HELL, WHERE AM I?" she thought as her mind started racing. Her head ached, she couldn't move, she was cold and she was naked. Fear came rushing over her, she knew that this wasn't right and she had to get out of there fast. She tried to free her hands and feet, pulling with all her might, nothing would budge, but she continued to pull, hoping and praying that something would give so she could get out of there before whoever was keeping her there got back. She pulled so hard that she felt the skin on her wrists start to peel away, but she didn't care, she was not going to let that stop her from getting free.

Frank had brought almost the entire police force to the park along with the dogs, but there was no sign of her anywhere. The dogs had gotten a scent but then lost it in the north parking lot. Her purse and phone had been finger printed but nothing came up other then hers.
Frank looked at his watch. It was now 2 a.m., they had been looking for her for hours and still no trace of her besides her car, phone and purse. He knew that everyone needed a break, but he also knew that Reva's friends and family would not take one, him included. He looked at Jeffrey, standing there lost in thought, tears running down his face. He felt terrible for him and everyone, but there was no choice, he had to give his men the option to leave, at least until the sun came up.
"Jeffrey I hate to say this but I have to give my men the option......"
"NO, Frank tell them I'll pay them to stay. Tell them that they have to stay."
"I can't make them, Jeffrey."
"Please Frank at least until I can get some reinforcements here, Please, just give me time to make some calls."
Frank heard something in Jeffrey's voice that he had never heard before, desperation.
"Make your calls, I can wait a little while longer,"
Without another word Jeffrey had his phone out calling in neighboring towns to see if they could get any help.
Everyone that Jeffrey called was more then willing to help. Starting at 7 a.m. everyone would meet at Cross Creek.
"Frank, we have alot of help coming at 7. Please, please ask your people if they will stay until then. Please, tell them I'll pay them anything to stay until 7."
Frank nodded and went over to his crews to talk to them. They all agreed to stay until someone came to take their place. No one was going to give up on her. They were sure that they would find her tonight.

Part 1

Reva was walking in the park waiting for Jeffrey to call. He had to work late but he said that he would meet her for dinner at Towers and that he would call her when he was on his way. She was already in town and she thought that a walk would do her some good. The park was almost completely empty. it was already 8 p.m. and getting dark. As she walked along the path she was swept up in thoughts of Jeffrey. He had been so protective of her the last month. She knew that he was so nervous of the up coming changes in their life but it was so funny to watch him fuss over her.
She heard a noise behind her snapping her back to the present. She stopped and turned but there was nothing there. Suddenly a really bad feeling washed over her sending chills down her spine. She reached into her purse, feeling around for her phone.
"Damn why do I have to carry so much crap all the time....Ah there it is." she said to herself as she pulled it out.
She flipped it open and dialed Jeffrey as she started to walk back to her car. The call went straight to his voice mail.
"Hey honey it's me, hope you're almost done. Getting kinda hungry here but anyway I'm at the....."
Before she could finish her sentence someone had grabbed her from behind. One hand was around her waist and the other was over her face with a rag full of chloroform. His mouth fell upon her ear.
"Sorry Princess, but I've waited along time for this."
Reva went limp in the strangers arms, dropping her phone and purse. In one swift motion the stranger lifted her up and carried her to a car waiting near by.

About ten minutes later Jeffrey was finally out of his meeting. He reached in his pocket, pulled out his phone and turned it back on and finds there was a message. A smile came to his face, he knew it was Reva trying to figure out how much longer he'd be. She hated when he worked late.
"Hey honey it's me, hope you're almost done. Getting kinda hungry here but anyway I'm at the...........Sorry princess, but I've waited along time for this." As he listened to the message his face drops. He know that something wasn't right. Who was that man? Where was she? When did she leave this message? All these thoughts were running through his mind.
Jeffrey tried and tried to reach Reva. She wasn't picking up on the her cell or at home. He was worried, she always answered. He ran out of his office and to his car. He had to try to find her. First he would stop at Towers, then home.
As he drove to Towers he decided that he should call Frank. He knew that there was something wrong, very very wrong.
"Hello."
"Hey Frank it's Jeffrey. I know that this is going to sound alittle crazy but Reva left me a message and she was cut off by a guy. I have tried many times to call her back but there is no answer. Something just doesn't feel right about this. Can you drive around and see if you can find her?"
"Sure I can but what did the message say?"
"Meet me at Towers and I will let you listen to it yourself. Then you can tell me what you think."
"I'm already here so meet me in the lobby."
"Be there in five."
He hung up the phone and stepped on the gas.

As Jeffrey pulled up to the entrance Frank was waiting outside. He got out of the car and ran over to Frank. He pulled out his phone and let Him listen to the message.
"You're right something is not right. Do you know that mans voice?"
"No I have no clue who that could be."
"I'm gonna call the station and have an APB out on her right now. I think you should call around and see if anyone has heard from her lately. Tell them to meet us down at the station and we will go from there."
With out another word both men were on their phones, heading to Jeffrey's car. Calls were made to everyone that they could think of, and yet no one had heard from Reva in hours.
As they walked into Franks office Cassie, Josh, Buzz, Billy and some detectives were already there.
"What's going on guys?" questioned Cassie
"We're not sure yet. Reva was leaving Jeffrey a message when she was cut off by a man. We haven't been able to reach her and there is just something about the mans voice that worries us."
"Well what did he say?" Asked Josh
"Here I'll put it on speakerphone so you can here it?"
As they all listened to the message everyone had the same facial expression of terror. Tears fell from Cassie's eyes.
"Did he say Princess?" Asked Cassie as she thought she was hearing things.
"Yes," said Josh coldly
"That voice sounds so familiar. I know I've heard it before!"
"Yeah it sounds familiar to me to Cassie." Said Josh
"It's got to be someone from San Cristabel because they called her Princess, Right?" Ask Jeffrey as he paced around the room.
"It's got to be. But I can't put a finger on that voice" said Josh
"Neither can I"
" If this really has something to do with San Cristabel, we need to find her and fast." Josh said matter of fact.
"OK, I want each of you to pair up with a uniform and we'll start searching. I want every inch of this town covered. Do not leave your officer. We have no idea who or what we are dealing with. Be safe and if you find anything, anything at all, call me. And everyone make sure your phones are on, I want to be sure I can get a hold of you, if need be." Frank said as he turned to Jeffrey "WE WILL find her Jeffrey."
"She's pregnant Frank, we need to find her now."
"I know and we will."
"I can't even think about what she's going through right now."
Josh heard Jeffrey's voice break and walked over to where he was as everyone else headed out of the office.
"Jeffrey we will find her and bring her home safe."
"I should go home and see if there is anything there that can give us a clue."
"I already have some men on there way now, and Buzz said that he would send Lilian over to wait by the phone just in case. Why don't you guys go drive around town and see if you find anything. Call me if you can think of anything that would help."
Without another word Josh and Jeffrey were out the door.

The stranger had finally pulled up to an abandoned house, right at the north edge of town. He picked Reva up out of the car and carried her into the house. He took her to a bedroom where the only light he had was one candle on the other side of the room. He laid her down on the bed and tied her hand and feet tight to the bedposts with ropes. He sat down next to her, staring at her for a moment before placing his hand to her face and gently rubbing her cheek.
"You're mine now Princess, all mine, and I'm going to give you everything you deserve" He said in a sweet loving voice
He slowly unbuttoned her shirt and ran his hands across the soft skin of her breasts. He leaned down and kissed her again and again working his way from her breast, to her neck, to her lips.
In his own sick twisted way, he loved her, From the moment that he first met her, before she even had a name, he loved her. He loved everything about her and he would stop at nothing to have her, ALL of her.
